Memorial Day weekend is almost here and I've been busy getting myself and the family ready for some beach fun.
The idea to combine this top with these bottoms came from the colors on the Shiseido Compact. First, let me say that I've been purchasing this UV-Compact the past few summers because it is an easy way to re-apply sunscreen throughout the day and helps even out my skin tone when it gets blotchy at the beach. Back to the swimsuit: I never wear matching sets anymore...they never seem to flatter me and I like knowing that no one is going to have on the same swimsuit bc thats worse than wearing the same dress to the prom...(hello unnecessary body comparisons). Finally, I like how the pink in the Necklace adds a little something extra to the whole look.
Below are my beach reads for the weekend...I have high hopes of finishing them with a two year old by my side. Haha!
Delicious by Ruth Reichl should be a great beach read. It combines my favorite things...love of food and the comfort it brings and New York City. The main character is on a journey to "let go of guilt and grief to embrace her own true gifts." The author is a food writer and the editor and chief of Gourmet Magazine.
The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer practically jumped off the shelf and fell into my arms. Anything regarding the soul is so intriguing to me and it taps into my spiritual side that I've been nourishing so much more now that I'm in my thirties. It discusses how we are able to transcend wordly troubles by changing the way we view our lives. It has gotten great reviews and if anything should be thought provoking.
Happy Weekend Everyone!
