The Fip Side of the Pendulum

Being that we are smack in the middle of summer, and also that I used to live in New York City, where everyone is allergic to bright colors, I feel like I cant get enough of crazy bold hues. Right now I want to sip on colorful alcoholic beverages, wear highly pigmented lipsticks, and stomp around in neon shoes.

I was once told that when you are overcoming something (in my case it was the fear of wearing too much color, and maybe some other stuff too, lol), you tend to swing to the other side of the spectrum before the pendulum naturally lands right in the middle where its supposed to be. I feel like this is so true and has been a recurrent theme in my life for situations much deeper than color preferences. Its something I try to keep in mind when I have intense reactions to things that otherwise should not be so emotionally charged:)
